US attacks Houthi weapons depots in Yemen

The US Air Force carried out a series of targeted strikes against Houthi-controlled underground weapons storage facilities in Yemen.

This was reported by The Times Of Israel.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the attacks targeted five warehouses storing weapons components used by the Houthis to attack civilian and military vessels in the region.

It should be noted that American B-2 bombers carried out several attacks against these facilities, destroying weapons warehouses. The operation was carried out in areas under control of the Houthi rebels and was aimed at reducing their combat capabilities.

Houthi-owned Al Masirah TV said U.S. and British forces carried out attacks on the capital, Sanaa, and the city of Saada.

US officials cited by ABC News confirmed that the strikes were part of a US Central Command operation aimed at destroying Iran-backed and Houthi-controlled weapons depots in Yemen.

Previously, Kursor reported that the Houthis are preparing for a direct confrontation with Israel.

The Houthis in Sana’a are preparing for a direct confrontation with Israel, saying it opens a new stage of the war in which they intend to attack Israeli and American targets in the Mediterranean.

The rebels are preparing for a naval confrontation with Israel, military sources in Yemen’s Houthi-controlled capital Sanaa told Hezbollah-linked Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar.

According to information from the Ynet website, sources claim that the Israeli and American navies in the Mediterranean will be targets of missiles and drones launched from Sanaa. Possible involvement in these attacks could also include the Islamic Resistance in Iraq and Hezbollah.

The Houthis also see US and Israeli preparations for attacks on Iran as a “new escalation” that could lead to a regional conflict involving Yemen. They warned that any U.S. involvement in strikes against Iran would prompt retaliation from Yemen and Iraq against U.S. bases in the region.
