In the eastern Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor, a US military base located in the area of the Koniko gas field came under rocket attack. Al Mayadeen TV channel reported this on October 8.
It is noted that as a result of the bombing of the American base, an explosion was heard. However, there is no information on the consequences of the strike.
“Two explosions were heard at the American Koniko gas plant in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.” – says the publication.
According to the television channel, after the attack, the forces of the international anti-terrorist coalition led by the United States attacked several villages in the province controlled by the Syrian army.
