Election officials in the United States receive threats. ABC News reported this on November 4, citing NYPD documents.
It is observed that employees of electoral commissions, campaign headquarters and polling stations, as well as voting-related websites, are threatened. These people have received threats of persecution, beatings, arson, and destruction of property.
According to the television channel, since April 2024, the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation has registered more than 2,000 such cases. Law enforcement agencies, in turn, dedicate resources to ensure public safety during elections across the country.
