A spokesman for the US Director of National Intelligence said there were no attempts by outside forces to interfere in the 2024 election. This was stated on the official website of the US government on September 6.
“We have not recorded any attempts by foreign actors to interfere in the conduct of the 2024 elections. However, this is a top priority and our inter-agency electoral partners remain vigilant.” – he commented.
US intelligence is reportedly monitoring any activity that could lead to election interference – that is, attempts to undermine or disrupt the US ability to conduct the electoral process.
At the same time, the intelligence official clarified that foreign states, including Russia, Iran and China, are allegedly focused on conducting operations in the information sphere, “trying to shape voter preferences and undermine confidence in elections.”
