US investigates leak of two documents containing alleged information classified by the country’s intelligence services this show the plans of Israel to attack Iran, as reported this Saturday by the American media.
The New York Times reveals that these documents describe satellite images of the Jewish state’s military preparations for a possible attack on Iran in response to the publication of nearly 200 missiles from the Islamic Republic against the country on October 1.
According to media reports, the documents, initially released in Telegramcome from the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency of the US Department of Defense.
Files are cataloged as “top secret“and bear markings which indicate that they can only be seen by the allies of the “Five Eyes” (United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and United Kingdom). For their part, cnnwhich cites sources close to the matter, indicates that the United States is investigating who could have access to the documents and how you were able to access it, as well as whether they have been hacked or deliberately leaked.
One of the files is titled “Israel: Air Force continues preparations for attack on Iran” and describes recent exercises that appear to be rehearsals for a future attack. The other document describes the change in missile and weapons placement that the Jewish state would make to prepare for a possible Iranian response to this attack.
Several officials confirmed The New York Times that The documents are authentic, although The Defense Ministry has not commented on the matter. The leak comes just days after Israel killed senior Hamas leader and mastermind of the October 7 attacks, Yayah Sinwar, the most wanted man in Israel’s offensive in the Gaza Strip.
