The first proposals for changes to Russia’s nuclear doctrine were expressed by the country’s president, Vladimir Putin.
Immediately after, the training of strategic nuclear forces in the United States took place. A B-52N aircraft carrying two nuclear weapons took off over the Pacific Ocean.
At the same time, a nuclear submarine was launched off the western coast of the United States.
The last time a similar exercise took place in the West Bank was in May 2023.
Given the significant changes in Russian doctrine, as well as rising tensions in the Asia-Pacific region, these exercises appear to be politically motivated to demonstrate US nuclear readiness.
