The United States seized Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s official plane in the Dominican Republic on Monday due to U.S. sanctions on Venezuela, CNN exclusively reported.
As two US officials explained to the network, the United States moved the plane to Florida on Monday.
“The seizure of the plane of the foreign head of state is unprecedented in criminal matters. We are sending a clear message here that no one is above the law, no one is immune from American sanctions,” one of the officials told CNN.
