He delivered a speech for 25 hours, five minutes, which condemned the policy of the President of the United States of Republican Donald Trump.
The speech began on Monday night this week and ended on Tuesday night (4/04/2025).
Booker took to the stage saying that he intended to “interfere with the usual activities of the United States Senate as long as I was still able to” as a protest against the Trump government.
During his speech, he warned of the time of “serious and urgent” for America in the midst of the “threat” that came from the president and the many executive orders he signed since he exercised in January.
The Senator condemned the murder of Trump government’s budgets, reduced federal work, business rates, foreign policy changes, proposals for annexing Greenland and Canada, NATO criticism and changes in its establishment to Russia.
“The Trump-Vance government continues to immerse ourselves in chaos,” says Booker.
According to his speech as something like a call to act for the Democrats.
The party did not have the majority in the two assemblies of the Congress and had almost no fully legislative power.
Booker has repeatedly asked the Senate and Americans to be common to oppose Trump’s actions.
