Singer Lyubov Uspenskaya has won a legal dispute with People’s Artist of Russia Philip Kirkorov over the protection of honour, dignity and business reputation, the joint press service of Moscow’s courts of general jurisdiction reported.
“The court found false the information spread by Kirkorov Philip Bedros and contained in a video on the information resource YouTube in the post “Philip Kirkorov about a double, hatred of women and power in show business”, discrediting the honor, dignity and business reputation of Uspenskaya Lyuba, – says the message.
Kirkorov must refute the information spread in the interview and pay compensation for moral damages. The press service does not disclose the amount of the compensation.
However, on her social media page, Uspenskaya reported that the amount of compensation for moral damage amounted to 90 thousand rubles – 20 thousand more than what Kirkorov previously won from Uspenskaya.
“It is of fundamental and significant importance to me that Kirkorov’s honour and dignity were valued less than mine. His moral damage was estimated at 70,000 (!) rubles, and not 280, as some media write. There is justice and I am very satisfied with the court’s decision! — wrote the singer.
As reported EADailyThe consideration of Kirkorov’s claim against Uspenskaya ended at the end of July this year. The court decided to recover about 280 thousand rubles from Uspenskaya in favor of Kirkorov: 70 thousand rubles for compensation for moral damage, 85 thousand rubles for payment of the services of a representative, as well as 120 thousand rubles for notarization of evidence and 6 thousand rubles state duty.
Each of the artists filed claims worth 10 million rubles.
