Uzbekistan became a member of the international agreement on the principles of countries’ activities in the exploration and use of outer space. The corresponding document was signed by the President of the Republic, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Sputnik reports.
Thus, the country will have the opportunity to explore and use space, including the Moon and other celestial bodies, and will also participate in international space projects, exchange of resources and knowledge.
Uzbekistan actively develops work in the space sector. In 2025, the republic will chair the Interstate Space Council of the CIS countries.
