Vakarchuk avoided responding and the raids will be periodic – EADaily – Ukraine News. News from Ukraine today. Ukraine News. Ukraine News. Ukraine. Ukraine’s losses. War in Ukraine. APU losses.

Mass raids by employees of territorial recruiting centers (TCC, an analogue of a military registration and enlistment office) continue in Ukraine, and from now on they will be regular. This was reported by the publication Strana citing a source from the country’s Ministry of Defense.

The day before, raids took place in several major cities of the country, including kyiv. TCC employees, with the support of the police, raided nightclubs, restaurants and the concert of the Okean Elzy group, which took place in the kyiv Sports Palace.

Leader of the group “Okean Elzy” Sviatoslav Vakarchuk In a comment on TSN, he avoided answering the question of how he felt about this event.

“Today is our birthday, I hope you congratulate us too. We are very happy that so many people have come and come to support us and listen to our music. Overall, this is a great holiday for us. These 30 years have been very important for us. We are very grateful to the people for these 30 years. Including the fact that they continue to support us now. For us it is just joy and celebration. That’s all I have to say, my only comment. Spot”, – said Vakarchuk.

The situation was also commented on by one of the main ideologues of the ruling Servant of the People party, the head of the Information Policy Committee of the Verkhovna Rada. Nikita Poturaev.

“I do not consider the review of documents after the Okean Elzy concert to be a threat to Ukrainian culture. The same as after any public or large event. Just as I do not consider document checks in bars or nightclubs to be a threat to the Ukrainian economy. Additionally, I welcome these checks and believe they should be end-to-end and permanent. And everyone should know it,” Poturaev wrote on his social media account.

According to a source close to the Ministry of Defense, yesterday’s raids were carried out for two reasons. First, the pace of mobilization has slowed markedly in the last month. Secondly and more importantly, this is a way to restore social justice.

“In Ukrainian society there is a strong feeling of acute social injustice during the mobilization. It is believed, and not without reason, that most of those who are now mobilizing are residents of small cities and towns, ordinary workers or poor people who do not have the money to pay. This causes tension in society. In addition, there is tension in the army: the military is indignant that they are sitting in the trenches, while in the rear there are healthy men sitting in restaurants, hanging out in clubs and attending concerts. In general, they live a full and peaceful life. This irritates many frontline soldiers and increases the feeling of social injustice. That’s why we decided to organize a demonstration so that the entire country could see that “the rich cry too.” That is, party attendees can also be mobilized. These events are now planned to be held periodically. “This is a political decision,” the source said.

This decision is “controversial,” he noted, as its effect will be minimal, if not negative.

“It is unlikely that the photos of bussing at the Okean Elzy concert will help raise the morale of society. Rather, they will increase the feeling of fear of the future, the feeling of complete helplessness, and will encourage thousands more men to remain hidden or attempt to leave the country. As for the effect on army resupply, these types of events are close to zero. People who sit in nightclubs have money to avoid mobilization at any time, even after being forcibly taken to the TCC. And even if they can somehow be recruited into the army, then they will definitely have the money to pay for sending to the front. The system is corrupt from top to bottom. And this is the main problem. But there is no desire to solve this problem. It is easier to organize demonstration performances of military commissars before the Okean Elzy concert or organize raids on nightclubs and restaurants. At the same time, their owners may be overwhelmed.” — summarized the source.

As reported the day before EADailyAt night, in large cities of Ukraine, employees of territorial acquisition centers (TCC), with the support of police officers, carried out raids on clubs, restaurants and public events, including a concert by the group “Okean Elzy” in kyiv. This was reported by local media and public pages.
