Valencia will have a direct air connection with Canada for the first time in 2025

In June 2025, the city of Valencia will begin a direct air connection with Montreal (Canada)on a route that Air Transat will operate from June to October, with a frequency of one flight per week, which will connect “for the first time” the capital of Túria to Canada without stopover.

The Advisor for Tourism, Innovation and Investment Attraction of the Valencia City Hall, Paula Llobetstressed that this direct connection “represents good news which is part of the tourist connectivity strategy promoted by the City Hall to improve access to the city from the American continent, one of the priority markets due to the profile of its travelers. , as the council indicated in a press release.

In this way, Valencia will be connected to the Canadian city of Montreal from June 20, 2025 to Octoberwith a weekly direct flight operated by the Canadian airline Air Transat.

This is the first time Valencia and Canada will be connected non-stop, “marking a significant milestone in connectivity” in the city. Tickets are now available on the website Air Transat starting this Thursday.

The Visit Valencia Foundation, through its Fly Valencia program and in collaboration with Turespaña, has played a “fundamental role” in achieving this new connection. This program aims to diversify the countries that send tourism to the city of Valencia, prioritizing connections with key markets that “stand out for the commitment and responsibility of their travelers towards the destinations they visit”. At the same time, it seeks to offer Valencians attractive travel options.

Llobet highlighted that this new Air Transat connection “positions Valencia as an attractive and accessible destination for Canadian tourists, who generally have high purchasing power, are interested in our cultural offer and are responsible for the environment and customs “. “It is also an important step since it is the second time that the city has a intercontinental flight with America“, he stressed.

This new route is in addition to those announced in recent months which will connect Valencia to cities such as Reykjavik (Iceland), Vilnius (Lithuania) or Copenhagen (Denmark), “thus consolidating the city’s commitment to strategic international markets and opening new gateways to Northern Europe and the American continent, both for travelers and for Valencians interested in these destinations.

On the other hand, the City Hall added that the birth of these connections will also lead to the appearance of “new avenues that facilitate the visit and attraction of potential investors to the city.”
