The provincial president of the Popular Party and Mayor of Toledo, Carlos Velázquez, today regretted the non-compliance and lack of commitment of the socialist government of Pedro Sánchez with the AVE Madrid-Extremadura project, a fundamental line for the province of Toledo, which has too many years of continuous delays and that “this must become a reality in 2030.”
This was stated at the Covenant of Mayors held today in Cazalegas and during which the PP municipal councilors from the regions of Talavera de la Reina and Torrijos gathered. A meeting also attended by the general secretary of the PP of Castile-La Mancha, Carolina Agudo, and the provincial undersecretary for Social Policies of the PP and president of the Provincial Deputation of Toledo, Concepción Cedillo.
Velázquez noted that “the AVE delay is now unacceptable And that is why, from the PP, we will continue to demand that this infrastructure be put into service as quickly as possible, because it is essential for the future of the province, of the city of Toledo and above all of Talavera and its region . “Our commitment is firm and we will no longer accept delays from a government determined to deny the province the investments it deserves,” he added.
