Venediktov* was fined again for violating the law on foreign agents

The court again fined the former editor-in-chief of the closed radio station “Echo of Moscow” Alexey Venediktov* for violating the foreign agents law. TASS reports this.

“Recognize Alexey Alekseevich Venediktov* guilty of committing an administrative offense under part 4 of Art. 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, and punish him with an administrative fine.” — the agency cites an excerpt from the case material.

They indicate that Venediktov* posted materials on a Telegram channel without a foreign agent sign.

TASS recalls that in February the Cheryomushkinsky Court in Moscow already fined him for a similar violation. According to the law, if a person bears administrative responsibility twice a year for failure to fulfill the duties of a foreign agent, he may face a criminal case (Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The article under which Venediktov was prosecuted*provides for a fine of 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles. The amount imposed has not been revealed.
