The Venezuelan Parliament has asked the Maduro government to break off relations with Spain. Foreign Minister Albares has spoken with his Venezuelan counterpart to find out where the detained Spaniards are and what they are accused of. Venezuela maintains terrorism accusations. And pay attention to the argument put forward by the Minister of the Interior to exclude the possibility that these are tourists.
“We asked people of Spanish origin if they go on holiday in September and they say that they don’t go on holiday in September, but that their holidays take place in July and August. It’s strange that they are on vacation“, said Diosdado Cabello, Minister of Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace.
Furthermore, Albares complained this Tuesday to his Venezuelan counterpart, Yván Gil, that confirm the identity of the two Spaniards detained by the Maduro regime, as well as their current location.
In statements to the media in the corridors of the Senate, José Manuel Albares said that the Executive still has no confirmation “of the identity, location or charges brought against the two Spaniards detained in Venezuela.”
