In the latest episode of tensions between the United States and Venezuela, U.S. authorities announced Monday, Sept. 2, that they had seized Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s plane due to alleged violations of U.S. sanctions.
This plane, a “Dassault Falcon 900EX, was illegally exported from the United States and used for the benefit of Maduro and his representatives”The US Department of Justice said in a statement. It said the device had been seized in the Dominican Republic in the morning and transferred to Florida (southeast).
