Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab announced at a press conference that prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant for Argentine President Javier Miley, his sister, Secretary General of the Presidential Administration Karina Miley, and Security Minister Patricia Bullrich in the case of the robbery of an Emtrasur airline plane. This was reported by VTV Channel 8 on September 18.
“The Office of the Prosecutor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela announces the appointment of two specialized prosecutors in this case, who will conduct the corresponding investigation of the case and issue an order of order,” – the television channel reported.
The Attorney General charged Miley and his entourage with aggravated robbery, money laundering, unlawful imprisonment, simulation of a criminal act, disabling an aircraft, as well as complicity in the commission of a crime.
The Argentine Foreign Ministry also condemned Venezuela’s issuance of arrest warrants against the president of that country, Javier Miley, and several members of his government.
“Argentina condemns the arrest warrants issued by the Attorney General of Venezuela against President Javier Miley, the head of the Presidential Secretariat Carina Miley and the Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich for the incident involving the Emtrasur plane,” — the department responded on the X network.
The country’s Foreign Ministry also noted that in the Argentine Republic “the separation of powers and the independence of judges reign, which unfortunately does not occur in Venezuela under the regime Nicolas Maduro“
