On Monday, the crowd gathered in Kyiv to say goodbye to the Ukrainian artist and soldier David Chiksan, who died after an injury on the front line in Zaporia.
The 39th was wounded while repulsing the Russian infantry on August 9 and died the next day. At their farewell ceremony in Independence Square, the grieving ones kept his work in his honor.
Tsetskan was born in 1986 with artists Illia Chichkan and Tetian Illiakhov. His grandfather was a member of the “exhibition of thirteen”, and his grandfather Leonid Chichkan was a professor at the Kiev Institute of Arts, known for his images of the Carpathians.
