Vienna will not accept a single person expelled from Germany: Austrian Interior Minister

Austria will not accept a single person deported from Germany, Interior Minister Gerhard Karner said in an interview with the German newspaper Bild.

The Austrian security chief’s statement followed a statement by the leader of Germany’s Christian Social Union. Markus Söder:

“Overall, in the long term, the number of refugees must be reduced to less than 100,000, because we are really overstretched, not only in terms of daycare centers, schools and housing. In some cases, the country is also culturally overstretched. In many cities in Germany, Germans no longer feel at home.”

At the same time, the leader of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany Friedrich Merz proposed declaring a “state of emergency” in Germany due to the migration crisis.

“This means that Germany will act in accordance with its laws, even if they conflict with EU law.” – said Merz, hinting that if the “Christian Democrats” come to power, they will send these people out of the EU.

The Austrian authorities have responded clearly today. Minister of the Interior Gerhard Karner fixed:

“Austria will not accept a single person expelled from Germany. There is no room for manoeuvre here. This is the law.”
