General Michael Eric Kurilla, head of the US Army Central Command (CENTCOM), arrived in Israel last weekend as an official guest of the IDF Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi.

During the meeting, the Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces and the Commander of CENTCOM discussed the current security environment, as well as strategic approaches to jointly prepare for possible threats in the Middle East, with special attention to issues related to Iran .
As part of his visit, General Kurilla reviewed the operation of the US THAAD air defense system, which was recently deployed to Israel to improve security and protection against aerial threats. The IDF noted that our military will continue to strengthen cooperation with the US Armed Forces to increase regional stability and improve coordination between the two armies.
Previously, Kursor wrote that a week after the recent Israeli attack on Iran, precautions have increased regarding a possible response from Tehran. US Central Command said B-52 long-range bombers have arrived in the Middle East.
In addition, Cursor already reported that Defense Minister Yoav Galant met with General Michael Eric Kurilla, head of the US Central Command. The meeting addressed critical aspects of regional security, including challenges raised by Iranian representatives, as well as opportunities to improve coordination between the two countries’ militaries in response to threats in the region.
