The change of lawyer comes after Tomás Torre Dusmet informed the investigating judge number 18 of Seville that resigns from defense of far-right activist Vito Quiles in the lawsuit filed against him for insults and slander against Facua’s spokesperson, Rubén Sánchez.
The lawyer asked the court to require Quiles to appoint a lawyer of his choice or, on the contrary, to accept the one assigned to him automatically in order to be able to “exercise his right of defense with all procedural possibilities. guarantees.”

The investigation against Quiles is based on a complaint filed by the Secretary General of Facua, Rubén Sánchez, for statements he made about him between February and September 2022. The complaint was filed in October of the same year, after the activist accused Sánchez in his forums of extortion, scams and even promoting death threats.
This agitator is known for its controversys. In 2023, he was arrested for disobedience and undermining authority during protests that took place in front of the PSOE headquarters on rue Ferraz.
