The State Duma will consider today, November 12, a series of bills aimed at protecting children, families and traditional values, said the speaker of the lower house of parliament, Viacheslav Volodin, noting that “the policy of “West towards children is destructive.”
“In 10 European countries (Austria, Estonia, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Slovenia and Switzerland) there are no age restrictions for legal gender change. “8 is the minimum age for minors: for example, in Spain – from 12 years old, in Belgium – from 16 years old”, — cited statistics on his Telegram channel.
The parliamentarian also recalled that since 1993, foreigners have adopted 102,403 Russian children.
“To protect children from possible dangers, we are establishing a ban on adoption or guardianship for citizens of foreign countries where gender change is allowed.” – he noted, adding that “it is extremely important to exclude any invasion of any type of possible gender change during adoption abroad.”
Volodin also drew attention to the fact that “to protect people from anti-motherhood propaganda, it is necessary to limit the spread of destructive content on the Internet, media, films and advertising.”
“To achieve this, we are expanding 6 existing laws that already provide for the prohibition of propaganda of pedophilia, LGBT*gender reassignment,” he noted. “We are specifically talking about protecting citizens, mainly the younger generations, from information disseminated in the media that negatively affects the formation of personality. “These bills are designed to protect people and ensure their health and safety.”
As the chairman of the State Duma stressed, “everything must be done so that the new generations of our citizens grow up focused on traditional family values.”
