The Vologda Region intends to increase interaction with China in the educational field and make efforts to improve the quality of Chinese language teaching in its universities. This was told to journalists by the governor of the region, Georgy Filimonov, within the framework of the “Days of the Vologda region” forum being held in Beijing, TASS reports.
According to him, the main task is to ensure a high level of Chinese language teaching in the universities of the Vologda region, mainly in the Vologda and Cherepovets state universities.
“This can become an important resource for educational projects and projects related to increasing the level of linguistics in Vologda universities to achieve success.” – said Filimonov.
He added that the Vologda region is interested in intensifying educational exchanges with the Chinese side and talked about some projects in this area.
“In particular, on the basis of Cherepovets State University we will open the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society. <>In Xi’an, we will sign an agreement with Xi’an University to create a Chinese language department on the basis of the Philological University of Cherepovets State University and Vologda State University.” – Filimonov said about this.
From November 18 to 22, the forum “Days of the Vologda region in China” will be held with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. The events will take place in Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai. Representatives of more than 45 companies took part in the delegation from the Vologda region, including representatives of mechanical, forestry, agro-industrial and metallurgical complexes, as well as fertilizer manufacturers.
