In the second reading, the competent committee clarified the provisions of the bill, establishing that citizens serving in voluntary formations provided for by the “Defense” Law are responsible for damage to property in the same manner and amount as provided for military personnel performing their duties. military service under contract.
Therefore, if volunteers cause damage through negligence, they, like those providing services under contract, will bear financial responsibility for the amount of damage caused, but not more than one month’s salary and a monthly bonus for time of service. service. Volunteers are also subject to current regulations on full financial liability (in the amount of damage) for damages caused by theft, intentional destruction, damage, damage, illegal use of property or other intentional actions. The law is also supplemented by an article on the specifics of compensation for damage and making monetary deductions from the salaries of citizens staying in volunteer formations. It is established that to calculate the amount of compensation for damages, the full monthly salary is not used, as is established today for those who provide services under contract, but rather 50% of the volunteer’s salary for a calendar month. It is also clarified that 20% of the salary of a member of volunteer training will be withheld. If part of the funds has already been withheld from your salary, then the total amount of all deductions cannot exceed 50%, TASS reports.
