The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyenannounced on the social network X that he had just arrived in kyiv, which is his eighth visit to Ukraine.
Von der Leyen explained that she came to kyiv at a time when “the moment of using energy resources such as heating is approaching and Russia continues to target Ukrainian energy infrastructure as one of its key goals.”
The President of the Commission stressed that always “We will help Ukraine in its courageous efforts and show it Europe’s support”.
