Vox presented this Monday a document requesting the Court of Instruction number 31 of Madrid to reopening of the file due to the passage of the Vice President of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez at Madrid Barajas Airport on the night of January 20, 2020, having access to community territory prohibited due to EU sanctions against the regime of Nicolas Maduro. They corroborate the account of events offered by an eyewitness for whom a notarial act was provided,” argues Vox. They speak of a “active collaboration” in the journey of Delcy Rodríguez to Spain at the highest level and the urgency of clarifying responsibilities. “Now it will be difficult not to open and reopen the trial to collect statements and evidence which at the time, even when requested, had been refused to deny the main reason, the non-existence of a crime, a decision which must now be reconsidered in view of the report, “it is extraordinarily difficult to rearchive”, they say.
They also demand access to recordings of the moment of arrival of Delcy Rodríguez, who is still in judicial custody and were never provided to the parties in this case, but they were partially published by the newspaper El Mundo. They request a whole battery of procedures, including the declaration of Aldama and Koldo García as defendants and the appearance as a witness of Pedro Sánchez.
