In a press release published this Tuesday, the Vox initiative highlights the importance of “guarantee a plural and truthful information environmentfundamental pillar of a democratic society.
“Given the recent events in the Balearic Parliament and the
legislative measures promoted by the government of the nation, Vox has
expressed concern about what he sees as a systematic attempt to
limit the ability of the media to report independently,” they point out from the party’s parliamentary group.
In the institutional declaration, Vox calls on all institutions in the Balearic Islands to “guarantee equal treatment for all mediawhatever its editorial line” and condemns any form of censorship or intimidation against journalism professionals.
