The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, announced this Wednesday that his party had filed a criminal complaint against the President of Government, Pedro Sánchez, and five members of the Council of Ministers for ““reckless homicide and failure to render aid.”
“While they concentrated their efforts on attacking RTVE, people were drowning in mud. They will have to pay for it,” Abascal said in a statement. “Our duty as a third political force is to demand accountability. “We have filed a complaint,” announced Abascal.
Abascal made this announcement in a public statement without the presence of the media, after a working meeting of his party leadership on the consequences of the floods.
As he said in his statement, declaring a national emergency “was not an option, it was an inexcusable and unavoidable duty and they consciously did not do it.” “Now they will have to pay for it,” he said.
