Vox will file a complaint against Pedro Sánchez and other members of the government for their management of DANA

A week after the floods which left more than 200 dead in the Valencian Community and Castile-La Mancha, Vox announced that it would present a complaint against Pedro Sánchez and other members of the government for his handling of the tragedy.

The announcement was made by the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascalthrough a video broadcast on the party’s social networks. During his appearance, he denounced the ” anomalies ” of the ” autocrat ” Sánchez and the presentation of the complaint for the crimes of reckless homicide and omission of the duty of assistance.

“Declaring a national emergency was not an option, it was an inexcusable and unavoidable duty. They did not do it consciously, now they will have to pay for it,” Abascal said in response to his “duty” to “demand accountability for the constant abuses of Pedro Sánchez and his government.”

“I hope no one forgets this. This government can no longer be whitewashed, it cannot give in to any of its blackmail, it must totally oppose it. This is why the Spanish chose us,” he also underlined in a clear warning to the Popular Party, which Vox constantly accuses of being lukewarm towards the Executive.

In his first appearance since the disaster, with a serious gesture and in front of a Spanish flag, Abascal praised the work of the volunteers and compared it to that of the government and administrations. “The autonomous state chaired by Sánchez and its subsidized NGOs not only did not help, not only did they not arrive on time, but they hindered and criminalized the help of volunteers,” he denounced.

In fact, Abascal assured that there are still villages where “we have not seen a soldier, policeman or firefighter and where only the help of volunteers from all over Spain has arrived”, despite the fact that the head of the Army Emergency Unit (UME), Lieutenant General Javier Marcos, assured two days ago that the Armed Forces were already present in all the affected municipalities.

The leader of Vox also denounced that until Tuesday they “continued to hide” the official figures of the dead and the missing. “Everything has been a nauseating political calculation to conceal the greatest tragedy of recent decades and hide the criminal responsibility of administrations and politicians,” he denounced.

Aggravated magnitude

Furthermore, he maintained that “the scale of the tragedy, from a human and material point of view, has worsened because of the political actions of Pedro Sánchez” and accused the head of the Executive of maintaining an “attitude insensitive towards his compatriots. ” and having “washed their hands” in an “absolutely criminal evasion of powers by refusing military aid, rejecting international aid and criminalizing voluntary aid.”

He also did not ignore Sánchez’s request to the parliamentary groups for the approval of general state budgets and accused him of “taking the victims hostage” and using them “as human shields.” “He has no limits, no scruples, no empathy,” he attacked.

Abascal thus encouraged Sánchez to react to his water policy and issued a warning: “Climate fanaticism kills, Brussels policy kills, Pedro Sánchez’s policy kills. How we kill by not informing the population and then leaving them abandoned, by not sending help from the army from the first minute, we kill, international aid and by criminalizing volunteers, we kill.
