“Israel is ready to end the war in Gaza tomorrow,” Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said French Foreign Minister.
He explained: “The path is very simple. Rewar returns, Hamas comes out.”
“We still offer a chance for negotiations to extend the ceasefire and we will release our hostages based on Witkoff’s (special Steve) proposal, but that’s not open,” Saar said.
To extend the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, instead of entering the second phase, is part of a series of new demands presented by Israel, with the support of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who will review the provisions of the three -phase cessation agreement signed in January.
According to the initial agreement, following the release of several first prisoners each week, the two parties agreed to enter the second phase of the negotiations to discuss the end of the permanent war, the liberation of the remaining prisoners and the withdrawal of the Israeli forces of Gaza.
But Israel insisted that Hamas had to release all prisoners, unarmed weapons and their leaders left Gaza, without committing to the end of the war.
Because Hamas rejected a new demand without cessation of the fire, Israel continued the bombing in the Gaza Strip and transferred the troops to the pocket area.
Meanwhile, a medical source in the Gaza Strip Field tells Al Jazeera Arabic that 62 people died in Israeli attacks in Gaza early this morning on Thursday 3/4/2025).
“Thirty -seven of these numbers were killed in the city of Gaza,” the source said.
