The inhabitants of Kyiv held their breath when they carefully attended meetings between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump and European leaders.
During the summit, Trump expressed the hope that he would soon be negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to stop the totalitarian war of Russia in Ukraine, which is now in the fourth year.
After the meeting was completed, Trump called Putin to start triple conversations.
Volodymr NovytSkyy, who lives in the Ukrainian capital, said that the truce can be achieved, but would not be the end of the war. “Even if there is a truce, this enemy will not stop at the border, which he now has.”
“I would not want to be Zelensky,” said a resident of Kyiv Svetlana Gerasimenko.
“This is not amenable to Putin’s desires, but it’s hard to think about how the situation will develop.”

“For Ukraine, meeting with Putin is important to show Trump if Russia is really ready to end the war. It is important to show that Ukraine has done everything possible on his part, ”he explained.
“I don’t think that someone in Ukraine has an illusion that a meeting with Putin can suddenly bring peace.”
Zelensky and European leaders said that Putin demanded that Ukraine leave Donbas in Eastern Ukraine, where some of the most intense battles took place for more than ten years, from the initial invasion of Russia in 2014.
