A geomagnetic storm is expected in Azerbaijan until September 11.
About this Oku.AzIt was reported by the Department of Astrophysics of the Faculty of Physics of Baku State University (BSU).
The level of solar activity has reportedly increased due to M-class and other flares occurring in several areas of the Sun:
“Spacecraft have observed coronal mass ejections heading toward Earth. On September 10 and 11, solar activity will be in the M level (R1-R2 – mild average) and, with some probability, in the X level (R3 – strong).”
It was noted that the geomagnetic storm is currently at a medium level:
“From 17:00 on September 10, the geomagnetic storm will increase to the G1 (mild) level, and on the night of September 10 and at 06:00 on the 11th, it will be at the G2 (moderate) level. September 11 at 13:00 From 00:00 the geomagnetic field will drop to the normal background level. The geomagnetic storm will be observed mainly at high latitudes.
