“I thought I didn’t need a lot of things anymore. The first thing I was supposed to do was to destroy my VHS video recorder,” Schlegl said with a laugh.
“All these things that are constantly there, and you always think you need it again. But: no, no, no.” Despite this fast action, however, he still has too many things in his apartment, says Schlegl.
Hamburger (formerly the GDR “Extra 3” or ZDF “Aspects”) ran more than 700 kilometers above Jakobsweg for almost 40 days and wrote a book about this intense time.
The book “Light Heart and Heavy Legs-With Mom at Jakobsweg” by Tobias Schlegl was released by Piper-Verlag in early April.
