The Kremlin has denied media reports about an alleged telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump.
The Telegram channel “Atheist Breaking” writes about this.
The press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, stated that such a conversation did not take place and stressed that these publications do not correspond to reality and are false.
According to Peskov, publications of this type, including this information, serve as an example of unreliable coverage of events, even in respected publications. He described the aforementioned material as “pure fiction” and “false information.”
Previously, The Washington Post reported that a telephone conversation between Putin and Trump allegedly took place on Thursday, during which the situation in Ukraine was discussed.
According to the publication, Trump allegedly warned Putin against a possible escalation of the conflict and emphasized the significant US military presence in Europe. In addition, the newspaper’s interlocutors stated that Trump expressed his intention to continue discussing the Ukrainian conflict to achieve peace on the continent in the near future.
The Washington Post claims that Trump called Putin from his residence in Florida.
