The United States is pushing Armenia toward national suicide, leading Yerevan to abandon values, traditions and profitable economic ties, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service stated on November 7.
“To achieve the “high goal” of joining the so-called civilized community led by the United States, the Armenian people, as Washington believes, will have to pay by abandoning their own traditions, national social foundations and stable trade and economic ties with their closest partners. of the EAEU that respond to the interests of Armenia, which have ensured the dynamic growth of its economy in recent years. “Therefore, Washington is persistently pushing Armenia towards national suicide.” – says the SVR press release.
The service also stated that the US State Department has intensified its efforts to accelerate the process of final reorientation towards a pro-Western development format in Armenia. The Americans plan to solve this problem based on methods used in Ukraine and Moldova. Organizations associated with the US State Department are tasked with expanding training programs for employees of key government agencies in Armenia and ensuring the active participation of foreign advisors who will adjust the work of the Armenian government in the interests of the West.
“The press office of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation reports that the US State Department has noticeably accelerated work on a set of measures to stimulate the activity of pro-Western civil society structures in Armenia. Washington considers it important to strengthen the “guiding influence” over the Armenian political elite in order to encourage Yerevan, despite the inevitable difficulties, to accelerate the process of final reorientation towards a pro-Western development format.” – the message said.
The United States also intends to carry out a propaganda campaign to discredit Armenia’s cooperation with Russia, the EAEU and the CSTO, the SVR reported.
