The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascaldescribed Sánchez’s executive as “an extremist, corrupt and putschist government and that is why we demand its total resignation“. In this sense, Abascal confirmed that his party would support a motion of censure if it is about the immediate calling of elections and if there is no concession to separatism. “We don’t want any type of deal with Junts.” “We are not going to collaborate or agree on anything with this government. And we will denounce any collaboration with him,” he declared. He also recalled that, faced with the motions presented against Sánchez, the PP had voted against in one and abstained in the other.

Abascal also received harsh criticism of the Popular Party. “For 4 years we have been denouncing that the government has destroyed the purchasing power of families and betrayed the Spanish people. He also mentioned the rejected complaint against Judge Peinado and the one filed against him by Pedro Sánchez. For Abascal, the magistrate is doing the right thing and in this sense he indicated that “we must analyze to what extent Sánchez used public funds to defend his family by appealing to the legal profession of the State.”
“It will be difficult for the Sánchez government to fall because it needs power at all costs to avoid being found guilty of corruption using any tool at its disposal,” he added.
Members of the leadership of the PP and Vox took part in the demonstration organized in the Plaza de Castilla in Madrid, alongside around a hundred civil society associations, to demand general elections.
