“We cannot defame without proof or complaints”

Social media is once again the place to report allegations sexual abuse And gender-based violence barely a week after the social debate generated around the case of Iñigo Errejón. Now they are the rappers from Granada Ajax And Prok what weighs on the massive accusation of women who claim to have been victims of mistreatment, sexual abuse or even rape by these two twin brothers.

More than 60 girls – some before they even reached the age of majority – have already contributed their stories to an Instagram profile (@denunciasgranada) created expressly. The testimonies often coincide with drug use and always end in sexual assault, even rape, and ill-treatment.

In the story, they refer to previous attempts to highlight the practices of the two rappers from Albaicinbut that they had ultimately been “discredited and silenced” by “fear, power dynamics and cover-up”.

“A very big stupidity”

For their part, the musical duo offered their version of events on their social networks through a detailed declaration who claims to defame them “without any limits” with “very big nonsense”.

“People who have known us for over 10 years know what kind of people we are. “We are good people and committed to all social causes, without exception.”

In this sense, they emphasize that these accusations have arisen since 2015 as “an attack not only against us, but also against our work, our projects, our dreams”.

Rappers criticize the fact that “you can defame a person in absolute anonymitywithout evidence and without filing a complaint” and that they will try to “find the people behind everything” and “set a precedent”.

In any case, this is not the first time that singers find themselves in the spotlight, although for a very different reason. In 2016, they released a controversial music video for their song ‘Polizzia” which was characterized as incitement to hatred for presenting a violent and totalitarian image of the Corps.

The brothers base their defense on the intention of creating a social critique of these specific agents who exceed their duties. Only Ajax claims authorship of the lyrics, among which we can read lines such as “What are logs for, if not to make fire?” If I just want to smoke my cinnamon in peace. “And he fines me, but he smokes the candy.” The music video has been deleted.
