The device of some 150 soldiers who work in search of five people missing in Letur (Albacete) after the flood they resumed work early this Thursday, which mainly focuses on raking the area of the natural channel of the stream that overflowed this Tuesday. Sources from the Civil Guard explained to EFE that the system is made up of around 150 people, 60 of whom are agents of the Army Institute, from various specialties, such as the Citizen Security units, Seprona and the team of underwater activities. In addition, they also have a helicopter, three drones and dogs specialized in searching for people.
Firefighters from the Provincial Delegation of Albacete, members of the Civil Protection of the Red Cross and twelve soldiers from the Special Operations Command who were on maneuvers in the area also participated in the device. The system is complemented by environmental agents and Infocam staff, who work to clean up the city. This device is divided into three mixed working groupss, connected to each other, and which comb the area where the stream flows and the slopes, because this is where everything suggests that the missing people may be found.
In this sense, these sources indicated that the woman found dead this Wednesday and it was detected by a low-flying drone, it was a little less than a kilometer from where his house was, washed away by the waters. Concretely, this Wednesday a journey of two kilometers was made and it is planned that this Thursday five kilometers will be traveled, from Letur to where the stream converges with the Segura riverand search both in the stream bed and on the slopes, because in some places the water rises up to ten meters above its usual level.
These sources assured that the search work will not stop until all the missing people have been located and that, even if this Thursday the forecast does not in principle predict rain, the localization work will not be carried out. will not stop if the rain was light, but rather than only they would stop if the rain was torrential. Two people died
