More than a dozen days after the tragedy, the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, recognized that it was a “mistake” for not having “paid more attention to the Poyo ravine” on October 29. This is the first time that the “popular” intones a sort of “mea culpa”.
Faced with these errors, Mazón assured that “a time will come when all administrations” will review their “action” in the face of this storm which has already caused more than two hundred deaths, as well as practically unquantifiable material losses.
These are the words of the Valencian president when one of the journalists asked him if he had a clear conscience regarding the management of this crisis. “It can undoubtedly be assumed that mistakes were made,” Mazón admitted.
In this sense, Mazón reaffirmed that “everyone”, including himself, will review “the mistakes that could have been made”, as “perhaps” he had not paid more attention at Poyo Boulevard.
