Belarus will do everything possible to peacefully coexist with Ukraine. This was announced by Alexander Lukashenko today, October 4, during a conversation with residents of the agricultural town of Parokhonsk.
Answering questions from local residents, he stressed that he was forced to pay special attention to the situation on the border with Ukraine in order not to miss an unexpected blow, as happened to the Soviet Union at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.
“There is no need to repeat mistakes. We must be prepared. We do everything in exchange. We have never started any confrontation. By no means. We don’t need this. What is war? This is a disaster. Don’t worry, we’re not going to fight with the Ukrainians. And they don’t want to fight with us. We will do everything possible to peacefully coexist with Ukraine. If they want it. “People want this.” – said.
In addition, Lukashenko called his main task to prevent Belarus from being dragged into the war.
“We must understand that we are on the front: very close, behind the fence, there is a war. “My main task is to prevent Belarus from being dragged into this fight, this war.” – the Belarusian leader stressed.
Recall that Russia has been carrying out a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Belarus is not officially participating in it, but supports Moscow’s actions.
