Today the next edition of journalist Asgar Ibrahimov’s program “Life Story” was prepared on Baku TV within the framework of the West Azerbaijan Chronicle project.
The program titled “I was separated from my mother and thrown into a helicopter” is dedicated to the life story of Famil Ibrahimov, a resident of Hallavar village, Beyuk Karakilsa district, Pambak district.
F. Ibrahimov, born on July 15, 1988, is a living witness to one of the most painful pages in history. This baby, who was deported when he was only 4 months old, is a representative of the last generation deported from Western Azerbaijan.
F. Ibrahimov, who was separated from his mother during the tragic events and took care of his aunts, remembers what happened at that time: “In November 1988, as a result of the Armenian aggression, the inhabitants of the village of Hallavar They began to evacuate me. They separated me from my mother and threw me into a helicopter. Fortunately, my aunts were also on the helicopter. My aunt Gulnara had two young children.
He narrates what he heard from his grandfather and grandmother as follows: “The village of Hallavar was located at the confluence of the Hallavar and Pambak rivers. Around the village there were famous plains such as Goshabulag, Keyhirbaz, Arkhashan and Nadirali. We had there. beautiful areas surrounded by mountains. We had rivers and ice springs. People were dedicated to agriculture, cattle raising, etc.
According to him, the place names and surnames of the village of Hallavar prove that these lands are an ancient Turkish homeland: “Great generations such as Talybli, Boral, Ashigli, Mashadili lived in the village. There are historical and religious monuments such as the ancient Albanian churches, the Miskin Abdal and Karadon shrines. Hallavar is the holy land of Azerbaijanis. In the passports of my grandfather and grandmother it is written that they were born in Hallavar in the year 1929. This shows that it is the land of our ancestors.
A resident of Hallavar, who lives with the desire to return to his ancestral home, expresses his feelings as follows: “I want to raise my son in Hallavar. My greatest wish is to visit our ancestral home, which my grandmother and grandfather consider a sanctuary, and visit the graves of my great-grandfathers and grandmothers, I will walk through the plains where the horses gallop, I think that day is not far away.
In general, this life story is a mirror that reflects the difficulties experienced by Azerbaijanis deported from Western Azerbaijan, the fate of refugees and, at the same time, the desire to return to their homeland.
It should be remembered that the goal of the Western Azerbaijan Chronicle project is to preserve and popularize the name of our historical and ancient lands, as well as the deportation of Azerbaijanis by Armenians, place names that existed in those territories, but their names have been erased, countless examples of underground and surface material culture are revealed: ancient settlements, necropolises, mounds, remains of castles, palaces and fortifications, caravansaries, bridges, funerary chests, tombstones, statues of horses and rams, temples, churches, mosques, pyres and hearths . , and facts confirming that the area is a pure Oghuz-Turk settlement are communicated to the world community.
Also the president Ilham Aliyev Regarding Western Azerbaijan, he said: “The map of the beginning of the 20th century shows once again that Western Azerbaijan is the historical land of Azerbaijan, the names of cities and towns are of Azerbaijani origin and we know very well that Azerbaijanis on the territory of present-day Armenia throughout history people have lived. Now the main task is “to make it known to the world community”, it is the promotion of the duties arising from the Concept of Return developed by the West Azerbaijan Community according to their opinion. .
