West Azerbaijan Community: “We ask the international community to put pressure on Armenia”

“We call on the international community to put pressure on Armenia.”

Oku.Az informs that this demand was included in the declaration of the West Azerbaijan Community of November 8, Victory Day.

The statement states that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev Our nation once again celebrates with great solemnity the historic victory of the glorious Azerbaijani army under the leadership of Armenia, which occupied our lands for a long time:

“November 8: Victory Day symbolizes the strength, military power and celebration of justice of the Azerbaijani people, who have suffered for many years from occupation, ethnic cleansing and genocide by the Armenian armed forces. Victory on Armenia’s aggressive policy, arising from a racist and expansionist ideology, ensured the rule of international law.

The solid foundations of our state created by the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, his wise policy and national ideological principles united the determination and strength of our people, and the decisive and skillful leadership of the political successor of the national leader. , President Ilham Aliyev, led Azerbaijan to victory in both the political and military spheres. As a result of successive measures taken under the visionary leadership of Ilham Aliyev, our State has fully restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty and entered a new era.

The glorious victories of the glorious Azerbaijani army in the Patriotic War of November 2020 and in the anti-terrorist operations of September 2023 once again confirmed the incomparable spirit of patriotism of our people. The fact that our children, who were born after the occupation of Karabakh and never saw it, took up arms and fought heroically is an indicator of the fighting spirit of our people and their devotion to the homeland.

“We commemorate with deep respect the dear memory of our sons and daughters who died for the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of our country and we pray for the recovery of those who lost their health.”

The declaration notes that the liberation of our territories from the occupation of Armenia, the full restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country strengthened our faith in justice:

“The West Azerbaijan Community, the organization of Azerbaijanis who were expelled from their home countries as a result of Armenia’s ethnic cleansing policy and who are still unable to return to their homes, is greatly strengthened by this historic achievement. As stated President Ilham Aliyev, justice can only be achieved by believing and fighting for it. We, and with this determination and faith, are fighting for a safe, dignified and peaceful return to our native homes.

The historic victory of Azerbaijan, the development of our country in conditions of peace and security, also creates stronger foundations for lasting peace in the region. Unfortunately, Armenia engages in activities that hinder the achievement of peace.

Armenia, which does not accept its responsibility for the countless crimes committed against Azerbaijan, does not apologize to Azerbaijan, but, on the contrary, continues to glorify military criminals, does not remove from its Constitution the provision regarding territorial claims against our country and implements a comprehensive large-scale armament policy must refrain from such destructive measures, Western Azerbaijanis can do so safely, must create conditions for their return with dignity and peace and, to Therefore, they must initiate a dialogue with the West Azerbaijani community.

It is unacceptable that Armenia considers the activity of the West Azerbaijan Community as a threat to its territorial integrity. Our fight is purely a question of human rights and the return to our ancestral lands. “We call on the international community to pressure Armenia to take the above necessary measures.”
