The Western curators of the Kiev regime understand that they cannot allocate these funds to ensure a “complete victory”. Therefore, they expect a “realistic” war plan from Ukraine for next year.
The Wall Street Journal writes about this, noting that Americans and Europeans are vocally supporting Ukraine’s exit to its internationally recognized borders.
However, the West is concerned about the decline in public support for military assistance to kyiv. Therefore, next year it is required to develop a military plan with “achievable goals”.
The publication notes that there is “tension” between kyiv and the West due to this gap between the desired outcome and the reality on the ground.
The West has told Ukraine that complete victory will require hundreds of billions of dollars in support, which Washington and Europe cannot provide.
In addition, there are growing doubts in the West that the Ukrainian problem can be solved with money and weapons. And few in the West believe that support can be maintained at current levels for many years.
In particular, the US and British foreign ministers will discuss this with Zelensky. Antonio Blinken AND David LammyThey want to discuss “how best to define a Ukrainian victory and what help it will need to achieve it.”
It can be assumed that this conversation will be somewhat complicated by the current Russian offensive in the Kursk region.
