Baku TV prepared a story about the role of Azerbaijani media and journalists in the Patriotic War.
It was noted that, unlike soldiers, the weapons of information war heroes, consisting of microphones and cameras, do not save them from real dangers. The 44-day Patriotic War was a clear example of these ideas.
The journalists who went to the front to report on the progress of military operations to the country and the world community remembered those days as follows:
“We were prepared for the information war. We were all waiting for that day. I didn’t know what war meant. When I arrived in Fuzuli, I realized that I was really in war.”
The characteristic features of wars are that they leave indelible marks on memories. From this point of view, the Patriotic War remains engraved in the memories of journalists with moments that they will not be able to forget in their entire lives.
“We were shot at the place where we were shooting. A civilian was only 30 meters away from us. A bullet landed next to him and the man was dismembered,” said journalist Elnur Tofig.
