What is Trump’s plan for Ukraine? The Financial Times mentioned three main points

US presidential candidate Donald Trump’s plans for Ukraine include freezing the conflict, reducing US involvement and offering guarantees to Europe

This is stated in a new material from the Financial Times.

Donald Trump, counting on returning to the White House, is going to propose a radical solution to the conflict in Ukraine, trying to “freeze” it quickly. His team believes an agreement can be reached by creating demilitarized and autonomous zones along the borders, but this would not include Ukraine in NATO. The United States and NATO will play secondary roles, transferring primary control and peace guarantees to Europe.

Trump’s advisers emphasize that the United States should not bear the financial and military costs of keeping the peace. They propose that financing and military support fall entirely on European countries. Trump intends to exclude the participation of US peacekeepers and assets, believing that it is Europe that must take responsibility for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, the publication notes.

This course raises concern among European allies: a weakening of the United States’ security role could undermine NATO’s position. Some countries in the alliance are concerned that without the United States internal disagreements in the EU and NATO are possible, especially on issues of rapprochement with Ukraine and the general strengthening of European security, journalists note.

There is also no unity among Republicans on this approach. Some party representatives, especially those in favor of “isolation” and focusing on national priorities, believe that the United States should focus on confronting China, reducing its role in European issues to a minimum, the Financial Times concludes.

Previously Kursor reported that, according to the analyst, Ukraine was betrayed not by Trump, but by Biden.

Also, we recently talked about how Israel’s attack made the situation worse not only for Iran, but also for Russia.
