“For me, playing dramatic characters is like drinking water.”
This was stated by the honored artist and actor Joshgun Rahimov in the program “Gapgara” on Baku television.
He conveyed the problem with satire and emphasized that it is more difficult to make the audience laugh and think.
The honored artist said that the actor’s job is to feel and interpret the character and deliver it to the public:
“We deceive the audience. We are the biggest liars. But we try to express the true lie. Even if we are liars as players, we must convey the truth.”
J. Rahimov also spoke about his performance on stage a few months after overcoming a serious illness and said that for him his art was more important than anything else: “I was under anesthesia for 12 or 13 hours. I had a lot of cracks in my body “When I came down in that condition, everyone in the hospital was excited because something was going to happen. “I said everything is fine, I can’t stand it, I have to go.”
