Within the framework of the implementation of road infrastructure projects in the liberated territories, the construction of the Sugovushan-Sarsang reservoir-Gozlukorpu-Kalbajar highway continues.
Oku.Az informs that the Azerbaijan State Highway Agency has published information in this regard.
According to information, the road, which will be 80 kilometers long and 15 meters wide, will have two lanes and is being built according to technical grade II.
Earthworks are currently being carried out on the road. Thus, using special techniques, the removal of unsuitable soil is carried out and the replacement of suitable material up to the standard height, widening the track and its profile.
In portions of the project that pass through mountainous terrain with difficult terrain, the boulder-type rock cutting method is used to expand the soil bed.
To ensure the transportation of water according to the project along the newly built highway, circular pipes and rectangular water channels of different diameters are being built. The project also includes the construction of bridges and retaining walls in the necessary places.
To complete the construction works on time, the necessary amount of manpower and equipment were involved in the area.
The Sugovushan-Sarsang Reservoir-Gozlukorpu-Kalbajar highway is considered one of the road infrastructure projects implemented on the territory of the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions and will play an important role in the socio-economic development of our territories liberated from occupation.
