The 2024 work calendar includes a total of 12 days public holidaysnine of which will take place jointly throughout Spain, the same number as in 2023, according to a resolution of the General Directorate of Labor published in October last year in the Official State Gazette.
Among these 12 vacationBetween the months of September and December there are four national holidays and most of the autonomous communities also celebrate some of their regional holidays.
In concrete terms, the rest of the year, a party will take place throughout Spain:
- Saturday October 12 (National Day)
- Friday, November 1st (All Saints’ Day)
- Friday, December 6 (Constitution Day)
- Wednesday, December 25 (Nativity of the Lord).
Among the faculties recognized by the autonomous communities, there is the possibility of replacing the rest on the Monday following the national holidays that coincide on Sunday with the incorporation of others that are traditional to them, as well as the possibility of celebrating San José (March 19) or Santiago Apóstol (July 25) in its corresponding territory.

The celebration of several public holidays on Monday or Friday, therefore close to Saturday and Sunday, will allow next year to have longer weekends than usual throughout Spain. This is what happens in the second half of the year with Friday, November 1st and Friday, December 6th.
