“The date of the next municipal elections in Azerbaijan will be announced at the end of November.”
This was stated by the deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission, Rovzat Gasimov, in his statement to the “Report”.
The vice president of the CCA pointed out that, according to the requirements of the Electoral Code, municipal electors are appointed by the Central Electoral Commission.
“In this regard, the relevant decision is officially published at least 60 days before the voting day. After discussions in the Central Election Commission as a collegial body, it was concluded that the municipal elections will be announced at the end of November this year in accordance with the requirements of the legislation,” said R. Gasimov.
