Israel’s National Security Service has presented a list of European countries with a minimum level of threat to Israeli citizens.
It included countries such as Hungary, Albania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Cyprus, Montenegro, Serbia, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Croatia, Switzerland, Iceland, Denmark, Slovakia and Finland.
Recall that the National Security Council of Israel has published new recommendations for citizens abroad, taking into account the growth of the activity of various independent groups on the Internet and its spread throughout the world, as well as the experience of mass protests accompanied of acts of violence.
Experts warn that terrorists or lone attackers could take advantage of the chaos and unrest to launch attacks. In this regard, Israelis are advised to take precautions. In particular, during the next week you are recommended to refrain from attending large sporting and cultural events, especially those where a large number of compatriots are expected to be present. Special attention is paid to the Israeli national team’s match in Paris, scheduled for November 14.
Citizens are also advised to avoid participating in rallies and demonstrations. In the event of a threat or attack, local security authorities should be contacted immediately.
The Council strongly recommends minimizing external signs that may indicate an Israeli or Jewish origin, especially when ordering a taxi through apps. A safer option would be to ask the hotel reception or other third parties for help.
Before visiting new places, it is advisable to gather information about the area: study the crime rate, the frequency of demonstrations and take into account the presence of a significant number of immigrants from countries that may be hostile to Israel.
Kursor also reported that Israelis were urged to hide Jewish attributes abroad after the Amsterdam pogroms.
